EBF vs EBA
EBF - Front of mat to be set at 2 metres on first end and then not less than 2m and not more than 4m from the ditch. Jack to be cast at least 23m from front of mat.
EBA - Front of mat to be set at least 2m from the rear ditch and at least 25m from the front ditch for each end (ie up the 25m mark from the end). Jack to be cast at least 23m from front of mat.
EBF - If when it is cast the jack comes to rest less than 2m from the ditch it shall be set with its nearest point 2m from the edge of the green (ie at the end of a 2m measure).
EBA - If when it is cast the jack comes to rest less than 2m from the ditch it shall be set with the nearest point of the jack to the mat line being 2m from the ditch (ie the front of the jack level with the end of a 2m measure).
EBF - If the jack is improperly delivered the jack is returned to be delivered by the other side as many times as necessary until it is delivered properly. (The jack has to be completely inside the rink boundary).
EBA - If the jack is improperly delivered once by each player, it is to be set with the nearest point of the jack to the mat line being 2m from the ditch and the mat can be reset by the first player who cast the jack. (The jack has to be completely outside the rink boundary to be improperly delivered).
EBF - In a team game players can change position as often as desired after a completed end (not a dead end).
EBA - Players cannot change position once the game has started (unless a substitute is used who is not allowed to play skip).
EBF - Bowls have to be within 2m of the jack to count.
EBA - All bowls count.
EBF - All bowls which enter the ditch are dead and removed to the bank.
EBA - A bowl which touches the jack in its original course is to be marked with chalk. Any touchers which enter the ditch within the boundaries of the rink are live.
EBF - A bowl which comes to rest on the line between rinks is dead. (It must be completely inside the line to be live).
EBA - A bowl which comes to rest outside the line between rinks is dead. (Any part of the bowl just needs to touch the line and not 'over' the line to be live).
EBF - If the jack is moved during play and ends up on or outside the rink boundary it is a dead end and should be replayed from the same end.
EBA - If the jack is moved during play and ends up completely outside the rink boundary it is a dead end and should be replayed from the same end. (Skips can agree to play in the opposite direction).
