Open Day
Taster Sessions
On the 6th May we ran a successful Open Day. The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed a warm and dry afternoon.
Over 30 people joined in the fun and and games, and were treated to some delicious home-made cakes made by our members.
Many of the visitors told us what a good time they had, and at least 6 expressed an interest in joining the club.
Given the success of this event, it will become an annual fixture.
Free taster sessions available to anyone interested in trying out the game of bowls. The sessions will last about an hour.
Equipment will be provided. Wear trainers of flat soled shoes.

This year we are competing in three leagues.

Internal Competitions
Roll - Ups
Casual play (roll ups) and practice sessions are available to our members throughout the season. Club members can play at the club from 10.30am to dusk. Two hourly sessions are available commencing at 10.30, 12.30, 14.30, 16.30 and 18.30.
Planned roll ups will be posted on our WhatsApp group. All members are encouraged to join in. The more the merrier.
The William Brady Trophy
An internal league played on Wednesday afternoons. A game of trips, drawn from a team of four.
Mixed Pairs League
An internal league played on Monday afternoons through the months of June and July
County Competitions
Some of our members will be entering the County Championships this year. We wish them the best of luck
70th Anniversary Celebrations
The Wollaton Bowling Club was officially established in 1954, so this year we will be celebrating our 70th birthday.
A party is planned for Friday 30th August. All members welcome.
Club Finals Day
Finals Day this year will be taking place on Sunday 8th September. All club members are welcome to enter the events. There are Singles, Pairs and Two Bowl Singles competitions which will run throughout the season and culminate on Finals Day.
